Beneath the moon’s ethereal glow,
A mask conceals what none should know.
Porcelain whispers, secrets untold,
A story woven in threads of gold.
Through labyrinth streets, a shadow glides,
Behind the mask, a soul abides.
Eyes like mirrors, reflections dance,
Guarding dreams with fleeting glance.
Silken ribbons tether tight,
Binding truths to the velvet night.
In revelry’s hush, in silence’s sway,
The mask speaks all, yet keeps away.
Who am I beneath this guise?
A fleeting specter, a thousand lies.
Or perhaps, in this cloaked disguise,
Freedom breathes where truth denies.
Venetian mask, my borrowed face,
In mystery’s arms, a sacred space.
To dawn, I yield this fragile art,
But leave the mask to guard my heart.
