一昨日の夕方、

７０年来の友人から電話があり

「元気かよ・・」

僕が「うん」と言うと、

（彼は）しっかりした声で

「骨髄性○○○になっちゃって、２，３週間しか持たないかもしれない」

「薬が効けば、３か月くらいかな、年は越せそうにない」

：

小１からの同級生でもあり

僕が「俺にできることはあるか？」と言ったら

「ありがとう・・」

そこで電話は切れた。

：

面会謝絶状態だからね、見舞いにも行けない。

俺に何が出来るんだろう・・

などと思いつつ

（彼の）邪魔だけはしたくない、最期だからね。
