“Kasa” is umbrella in Japanese
“Kasa” is the Japanese word for umbrella, and it is made of washi paper with a bamboo framework and an oily surface. Compared to Westerners, Japanese people like to use umbrellas, and they have become an indispensable part of Japanese traditional culture.

In general, Japanese culture is said to be a “static” culture, but this page expresses a “dynamic” Japanese culture. Also, the camera position is taken from below.

“Kasa”とは、日本語で傘のことで、竹を骨組みにして表面に脂分を塗った和紙で出来てます。　西洋人に比べれば、日本人は傘をさすことが好きで、日本の伝統文化には欠かせない存在となっている。

親中媚中中国への隷属が続く理由

：

私が２０１６年北京国際写真祭に招待された。私がEUでちょっと目立った存在だったことから、彼ら（中国の中枢の人たち）にとって、”利用価値”があったのでしょう。B１サイズの画像を展示用として１０枚と（要人たちへの贈り物として）B２サイズの画像を２０枚ほど用意しました。滞在期間中、諜報機関のトップと思われる不気味な人たち、北京市長、モンゴル自治区の警察長官、その他、実業界の有力者と思われる人たちとの会食が続いた。その間も半端ないもてなしは続き、宿泊先は迷路が張り巡らされたお城に泊まっていた。

私はといえば、EUでは少しは知られているが、日本では無名な写真家に過ぎない（日本でも有名な写真家であると思っていたらしいが）。そんな私に対しても”このようなもてなし”は連日のように続き、最終日には（今、思えば）ハニトラに遭遇することになる。通訳として私に付けられた可愛らしい大学院生が”別れを惜しむように”私の部屋まで私を送ってきた。そこで、部屋の中に通すことは常識なのだろうが、私はお断りした。直感的に、あちこちに隠しカメラが装備されているだろうことに気付いたからだ。

私は酒が飲めないので”止まれた”が、アルコールが入っていれば、ここでこのような記事は書けなかったでしょうね。１００人中９９人までの人たちがこのような罠に落ち、親中媚中となり、また、ならざるおえず、隷属的な関係を強いられるのでしょう。

成田悠輔とガーシー

僕は、成田悠輔の言ってることは正論だと思ってるのですが、ガーシーに関しては、方法論としてどうなのだろぅ？という疑問はある。　前者は教育者として影響力はこれからますます大きくなるだろうし、後者はゴジラ的存在で、大きな悪を亡ぼすためには周囲の無関係な人たちまで迷惑をこうむることは致し方ない・・という辣腕ぶり。　

７５年前に終戦してから、この国はゼロからのスターを切ったわけですが、それからの４０年間は高度成長期でもあり、豊かになったわけですが、同時に、がんじがらめの”既得権益”も出来上がってしまった。　成田悠輔とガーシー両者は、この既得権益をぶっ壊そうとしているわけです。　この両者の対談を企画しようとする箕輪厚介という稀有な編集者がいて、これからの展開はとても楽しみ。

既得権益とは言われながらも、社会構造がしっかり出来上がっているからこそ、（国内的には）安全で平和な日本があるわけですが、同時に、子供たちと若者にとっては”どんより圧し掛かる雨雲”のような存在であり、高度成長期の日本を”最も成功した共産主義国家”と評した人がいますが、既得権益まみれの泥船に乗り合わせていることに、皆がそろそろ気付いた方が良いですね。

This Oiran series is a 123-page “group of works”. It is the result of collaboration between a model and a photographer, and it is also a precious record that we want to preserve forever.

これから１００ページに及ぶ「作品群」は、モデルとフォトグラファーの漠然とはしているが、一つの目標を目指した貴重な記録である。　この撮影時は、私は写真を初めて３年目であり、モデルは初めての撮影であった。　モデルと私は、戦友であり同志である関係が５年間は続いたが、終止符を打ち、それぞれは仕切り直しをして、新たな試練へと立ち向かっていくのだろう。
